Muir Woods and Mt. Tamalpais

Wildflowers near Mountain Home Inn, Mt. Tamalpais

Today I share some images from a hike Thursday (4/14) morning and afternoon through Muir Woods and Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County, California. For all of my hiking in Northern California and Mt. Whitney, this was my first visit to Muir Woods. The redwoods are magnificent and I recommend a visit for everyone. Muir Woods is very popular and I can only imagine the weekend crowds. But the first mile of the main trail is family and handicap-friendly. It warmed my heart to see people in wheelchairs being able to enjoy the views. Wildflowers are abundant throughout, but especially on the sunnier trails of Mt. Tam. Happy Trails.
